Aquaculture Remote Classroom (ARC) Fit-Out
As a part of the Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) initiative Vinehall Displays was appointed to create and transform the Aquaculture Remote Classroom – a modern state-of-the-art ‘classroom on wheels’ appropriately given the acronym ‘ARC’.
The Aquaculture Remote Classroom (ARC) is a truck-sized first-in-Ireland mobile classroom powered by the heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz Actros 2545L supplied by Naas Road-based Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealer, MUTEC. Vinehall is proud to announce that we have brought the first Expandable Unit in the country.
The Expandable Container is compact during transportation and comprises a flat surface area of 344 ft2 once extended. The chassis is equipped with four twist locks, allowing the container to be transported easily and safely by a normal truck. Upon arrival, the Expandable Container lowers itself to the ground by means of wirelessly controlled hydraulic cylinders. Our expandable mobile demonstration unit may be completely tailored to your needs, both inside and outside. Can be quickly deployed at any site and set up in less than 20 minutes, by one single person, whether it be a convention, roadshow, mobile studio, ticketing office, hospitality reception, event activation, sampling unit, or an outdoor festival.
The ARC has been designed by Derek Darlington, it travels all around Ireland, visiting primary schools and sharing all that aquaculture has to offer. The classroom is supported by 4 online lessons, regular webinars direct to schools, and a range of learning resources such as the ARC Poster and the ARC workbook. The ARC is available to schools completely free of charge.
The #VinehallTeam worked closely with BIM and took care of every aspect of this project, from the planning, and bespoke furniture production, to full installation and overall project management.
Bedecked with the latest high-tech features, ARC’s educational aids include three 55” surround sound TVs, virtual reality headsets, adaptive LED lighting, and seating for 30 children and their teachers.
